Basia has been designing interfaces and experiences for the web since 2008. With a master's degree in Biology and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology, she brings to user experience design an in-depth understanding of sensory perception and how the brain processes information. In addition to her passion for open source technologies, Basia cares about providing diverse learning opportunities to the greater community. She is an active member and a former chapter leader of Girl Develop It RDU, as well as a member of Code for Durham, TriUXPA, Ladies that UX Durham, Durham Women in Tech, and AIGA Raleigh.
When not optimizing apps for their intended users, Basia enjoys staying active by hiking, biking, or doing yoga. Basia is also a photographer and loves to visit art galleries and creative events.
