Gerald Carlton

Gerald majored in Computer Science at A&T; State University. While there, he gained an appreciation for developing quality software beyond simply writing and shipping code. He loves the nuances of testing software, seeing QA analysts as explorers of digital territory in the name of high functionality. His collaborative and exploratory approach ensures the usability and quality of our tools across browsers, devices, and environments.

In his time off, Gerald likes to cook comfort food dishes at home and rumor has it he makes a fierce lasagna. He also enjoys playing video games and binging on the latest television show with his wife.

One Thing to Look Out For While Testing django-import-export

Often the applications we build at Caktus deal with large sets of Django objects. The attributes of these objects can vary, and may need updating in certain instances. One of the best ways to manage this data is via django-import-export, which is a tool that creates a way to perform these bulk updates with a file upload such as a .csv or .xlsx file.
