Earlham Energy Awareness Project (EEAP)
The Earlham Energy Awareness Project is an energy-monitoring program that allows the College Administration to keep track of the energy usage in college owned student residences. Students are then made aware of the ways in which their life-style choices can save resources. Dorms and other residences are encouraged to compete with one another to determine who can save the most energy and the winners are rewarded for their efforts.
This project also involved developing embedded hardware to do real time monitoring of the electrical consumption of college buildings and relay that information to students, faculty, and administrators.
This project was developed over a summer as a collaboration between Colin, Alex, and the college’s administration.
