Caktus, alongside the UNICEF Innovation team helped write the software for a mobile health pilot program in Zambia and Malawi. Using the RapidSMS framework, the application helped expedite the coordination between rural health clinics and HIV testing centers, getting results back 1-2 months earlier than would be otherwise possible. There was a 57% increase in the turn around from the time a sample was taken and the collection facility. Also, there was a 56% increase between the sample collection time to the delivery of the results to the caregiver.
