Caktus worked with the Chicago Consortium to build a survey application intended to collect data from Chicago's school teachers and students. The system was designed from to support the Chicago Public Schools, the fourth largest school district in the country, with 650 schools, 210,000 students, and 24,000 teachers. The app was built from the ground up and is backed by a customized, dynamically scaling Amazon Web Services backend capable of handling millions of page requests per hour.
